Beyond Verification

FAQ

Why start an account with Everso?

Everso is a cost-effective way to secure your mental healthcare practice. Providing HIPAA compliant services through Everso can give your company compliance checks and quality assurance without the overhead cost of a FTE (full time employee). Be in the know of what is taking place with your company at the point of care.

Is the Everso system safe and secure?
Everso has taken every precaution to ensure security and HIPAA compliance. We can help you eliminate the loopholes that paper-based client verification documentation provides. Everso can give your clients easier access to higher levels of care, securely within your network.
Is Everso HIPAA compliant?
Everso is a fully HIPAA compliant site. Our team has worked diligently to ensure every aspect of the site, information within (ePHI) and database encryptions meet HIPAA compliance standards.
How does Everso meet standards for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)?
Dedicated HIPAA servers. Privately owned and operated. No reliance on third party for routine network maintenance and management.
256-bit AES-Encrypted signaling and media stream
256-bit SSL-Encrypted administration
256-bit AES-Always Encrypted feature
256-bit SSL-Extended Validation
128-bit AES-Encrypted full database encryption using BitLocker
Role-based security to ensure minimum necessary and appropriate access in accordance with HIPAA Privacy Rule.
Each video conference participant has his/her own individual session access, which provides granular access and audit ability.
Auditing of all system logins and actions by IP address and user agents.
Notifications sent from our systems, such as invites, notifications and reminders never include any PHI.
No password stored on our system; we store salted one-way password hashes only.

Our media streams run point-to-point by default instead of through a relay, which results in video conferencing streams not transiting our infrastructure in the vast majority of technical scenarios. We do use a secure relay when necessary as in the case of multiple Network Address Translation (NAT) devices situated between endpoints. Group streams are also encrypted end to end.

Does the membership include a Business Associates Agreement (BAA)?
Yes. The Everso system was built from the ground up to be HIPAA compliant; we will provide a signed Business Associate Agreement upon request.
How will Everso help me secure my business?

Helping mental healthcare providers secure their business is the premise in which Everso was created. Everso does two very simple yet important things:
1) Verifies and documents that the client is being provided service.
2) Authenticate the services provided at the point of care.

Do I need any special equipment?
Everso is accessible from any device with internet connectivity. Everso is a platform that creates the opportunity to BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). That is the beauty of Everso. Use mobile devices that you may already own or may be company issued.
How much does Everso charge?
Everso is a subscription model, and prices vary based on user roles. Please contact us for pricing information that may best suit your company’s needs.
What comes with subscribing to Everso’s platform?

A robust system that provides confidence and assurance that the clients entrusted to you, as a mental health provider and/or facility, are being provided the services as described in the client’s plan of care. Everso also offers secure video conferencing technology, evidence-based treatment information, and a “client engagement portal” where your clients can securely log in and see session information regarding services that were provided.

Is Everso an EHR?
No. Everso is an electronic visit verification tool. Everso should not be considered as a replacement for the federally mandated use of an EHR. Everso should be looked at as an extension to the awesome and robust Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems already out on the market today.
Can I bill service claims through Everso?
Not at this time, but who knows what the future holds? However, as mentioned Everso is a strong asset to your EHR and should be utilized as a front end means of assuring billing accuracy.
Will my PC, smart phone or tablet camera work with the biometric feature?
Absolutely. Any built-ins or webcams for PC or laptops (Windows, Linux, Mac) will work. PCs or laptops with x86 (32-bit) or x86-64 (64-bit) compatible processors are good to go. However, SSE2 support is required. Processors that do not support SSE2 cannot run the biometric algorithm. Please check if your particular processor model supports SSE2.

Smartphone or tablet cameras that are supported by iOS or Android OS will work. The camera should have at least 0.3 MegaPixel (640 x 480 pixels) resolution.

What are some general recommendations for the biometric feature?
Face recognition accuracy heavily depends on the quality of a face image. We recommend using good quality images, where the light is equally distributed over the face without visible light or shadow spots. Image quality during enrollment is important as it influences the quality of the face template.

32 pixels is the recommended minimum distance between eyes for a face on image or video stream to perform face template extraction reliably. 64 pixels or more are recommended for better face recognition results. Note that this distance should be native, not achieved by resizing an image.

Several images during enrollment are recommended for better facial template quality, which results in improvement of recognition quality and reliability.

Additional enrollments may be needed when facial hair style changes, especially when a beard or mustache is grown or shaved off.

Will I need to activate the location feature for my smartphone and/or tablet within my device settings?
Yes. This will allow your device to determine where the initial and closing points of care are located.
